On the subject of "midrashic community," a Sufi (Jewfi? I mean, Klotz??) thinker named Murshid Saadi Shakur Chisti, aka Dr. Neil Douglas-Klotz wrote an intriguing paper titled "Midrash and Postmodern Inquiry: Suggestions Toward a Hermeneutics of Indeterminacy." Whoah.
